BeamReader Beta is Recognized at the BlackBerry Developer Conference
Santa Clara, California - October 21, 2008 - BeamReader, the first native full fidelity PDF reader for the BlackBerry platform, was presented at the BlackBerry Cool 15 competition yesterday by BeamBerry Solutions President and CEO, Evgeny Lebanidze, and CTO, David Shalamberidze. This event took place at the BlackBerry Developer Conference in Santa Clara, CA on October 20th (http://www.blackberrycool.com/2008/10/blackberry-cool-15-huge-success).
The presentation spurred a significant amount of interest from the audience, members of the press and investors. Most notably, Rick Segal, the manager of the 150M BlackBerry Partners Fund, has publicly praised BeamBerry Solutions for the new BeamReader product and offered to provide funding. Rick also mentioned BeamReader at the BlackBerry Developer Conference general session on the following day and wrote the following in his blog (http://ricksegal.typepad.com):
"These guys (BeamBerry) have one of the best on device rendering tools I've seen. It's amazingly good. I'm digging into the technology and brains behind all of this but on the surface, it is certainly something I and many others will pay for. The product, BeamReader, is a really well done product and I urge you to take a look."
